So let’s see. What has happed lately? Well, i’m back from France (though that was two weeks ago), which was nice and warm. After I got back home I bought myself a new computer that will be used mainly for working with Maya and some gaming every now and then. It’s quite an extreme change to get a brand new computer when your old one is about six years old.

An open movie. A term that first started with Team Orange’s Elephant’s Dream. An “open movie” is an animation movie made using nothing other than open source software (all model’s used in the movie is also released, and free for use). Just a few days ago I heard about a new open movie called Big Buck Bunny.

As a project for school, me and my friend over at ilovezehintarwez.com have decided to create a small game in Python. We both have very little experience with Python yet, so this will be a fun challenge. What we will be creating is a small Guess the Number game, with a GUI, high scores and maybe some other fun stuff.

As we all know (or at least should know) Firefox is the best web browser you can get. It’s fast, safe and reliable. Firefox 3 is about to be released soon, and they will be trying to set a Guinness record for most software downloaded in 24 hours.

Side Effects Software announced on March 31st that they will be releasing a version of Houdini for the Mac, and that they are currently looking for beta testers! Witch, of course, is good news for anyone who likes to work with 3D, and like to experiment with new software.
